Magadheera is a telugu historical drama film directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind.
Ram Charan Tej and Kajal Aggarwal play the lead roles, while actors Sri Hari Raghumundri and Dev Gill play other prominent roles. This film is currently the highest grossing Telugu film of all time grossing nearly Indian Rupee ₹118 crore and the only Telugu film to gross more than Indian Rupee ₹100 crore. It features original soundtrack composed by M. M. Keeravani, cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects.



The story of the film is set in the 17th century, when the Mughals ruled most of India. The film is about a warrior who protects the princess of his kingdom, only to be killed, and born again 400 years later to take his revenge on his enemy. The plot is based on reincarnation, a belief that after death, the soul will return in a new body. The film is slated to be dubbed and released in Tamil as Maveeran.[1] The film will also be dubbed in Malayalam as Dheera set to release in May 2011.[2]
